Every child deserves a place on the court. On 5 March 2026, Basketball Experience took a step towards making that real.
The Basketball Experience disability inclusion component launched at Isinya School for the Deaf in Kajiado County. The programme, led by Agence Française de Développement (AFD) with NBA Africa, has run since 2024 with communication support from Admedia.
It aims to expand access to inclusive sport and life skills training for children of all abilities across Kenya.
A day on the court
Educators, development partners, community leaders, coaches and students came together to explore how basketball creates safe, inclusive spaces to learn life skills. After remarks from partners, Basketball Experience coaches led adapted drills, and the students took part with real enthusiasm.
Our role
Admedia provided full event and communication support for the launch, including on-site management, media relations, photography and video.
Why it matters
The launch showed how the game can be adapted for every child. It also gave partners a clear story to share about inclusion in sport.
