Effective communication is the cornerstone of every project. Every project needs an experienced partner to support its communications needs. When Admedia takes on projects, we first endeavor to understand the project’s cycle, ascertain the communication needs, and advise our clients on the best strategy to employ to optimize their results. Projects can be crystalized into four major parts; Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Closure. More or less, it is akin to seeing the end from the beginning. These are an indispensable roadmap that forms the structural approach that aids in ensuring all stakeholders are on the same page.
Communication is a convoluted network. It brings on board many players with different roles and responsibilities fronted as one team working towards a common goal to achieve a desired result within stipulated timelines with the least disturbance.
As Kenya’s communication partner, Admedia is currently in the execution stage of supporting the Basketball Experience. It is always an exciting stage for us and our clients when we see the transformation of ideas and plans into solid and tangible results. With every project we take, we bring a concrete foundation of understanding key elements of communication needs tailored for specific clients. Simply said, we are the bridge between the clients and their target audience.
These past two weeks, we have been at the Boma Hotel and the Kenya Academy of Sports to provide communication support for the Kenya Red Cross—the other local implementing partner —and a team from NBA-Africa for training on life skills and later NBA-level coaching respectively as we prepare the next phase of the project which is to have the already recruited kids get into the core of the program—getting to play.
Our role at this stage is to document in photography and videography, create compelling and engaging storytelling content for the program’s social and mainstream media, enhance the client’s visibility, and promote awareness of the impact the experience is having on the mentioned stakeholders. We believe in sports and its ability to transform young people into amiable community members. Our teams from various departments were present for the two-week intensive preparation of the coaches for the task ahead.
