About Oxfam HECA;
Oxfam in the Horn, East, and Central Africa (HECA) area are active in 10 countries: Burundi, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. They have a strong network of country teams that deliver their humanitarian response work on helping crisis-affected people rebuild their lives. They aim to support activities that will achieve change at scale at all levels, including raising the voices of the communities they work with and influencing a sustainable shift in state and private sector policies and practices at local, national, regional, and global levels.
Project Summary;
Admedia Communication Ltd was contracted by Oxfam HECA to produce the above hybrid Feminist convening event in Nairobi, Kenya on 9th February, 2022. The hybrid event organized by Oxfam and FEMNET was inclined to provide a unique opportunity to amplify and shape the agenda for regional feminist organizations to ensure at the core, that the region gears for post COVID-19 recovery.
With Admedia’s background in event management, the execution process involved;
- Live streaming of the forum via zoom platform
- Setting up the live streaming of the event capturing each speaker and audience reactions/questions, to be shared on our social media platforms.
- Provide a channel for simultaneous translation
- Official event photography
- Event videography and editing
The event was a success, with lively discussions from both local and international panelists. With our robust global network of affiliations and relationships, Admedia Communications Ltd continues to draw excellent resource individuals for project execution in the projects we work on.
