About IPPFAR:

The International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Region (IPPFAR) is among the leading sexual and reproductive health (SRH) service delivery organizations in Africa and a leading sexual and reproductive health and rights advocacy voice in the region through its Member Associations (MA’s) in 39 countries.

Project Summary:

Admedia Communications Ltd was contracted by IPPFAR to conduct a 2-day virtual training on February 17th and 18th, 2022, for 55 IPPFAR Member Associations from various states in Africa on social media content creation and effective media relations. With a strong grasp and understanding of the dynamics and gaps surrounding social media communication and media relations, Admedia was prepared to elevate IPPFAR Member Associations’ growth in fully comprehending social media management and effective media relations.

For a successful virtual training, Admedia delivered on the following aspects;

Pre-training;

·Designing and implementing a training that encompassed social media management and media relations matters.

·Organizing a seamless virtual training.

Post-training;

·Evaluation of the program and providing reports and feedback on training and trainees

·Provision of certificates to trainees on successfully completing the training workshop and being accomplished public relations practitioners.

Day one’s theme was social media management and the topics covered by our trainers included;

  • Understanding social media
  • Social media communications
  • Social media strategy
  • Social media monitoring and evaluation

Day two’s theme was effective media relations and the topics covered by our trainers included:

  •  Media Landscape
  • Content development
  • Photography and Videography
  • Developing a media strategy
  • Media targeting and effective pitching

To accommodate the multilingual MAs trainees, the training included simultaneous translations in English, French, and Portuguese. Admedia Communications Ltd continues to attract excellent resource individuals for project execution in the projects we work on thanks to our strong global network of affiliations and relationships.
