Project Duration: Jan 2020 - Present
About the Client
EUCAP Somalia is an EU civilian mission that was first established as EUCAP Nestor, a regional civilian maritime capacity-building mission focused on counter-piracy, in July 2012 and was renamed EUCAP Somalia in 2016. EUCAP Somalia is part of the EUCAP Nestor, a civilian mission which assists host countries to develop self-sustaining capacity for enhancement of maritime security which was launched by the EU in July of 2012 and currently carries out the same duties in Somalia, including Somali-land.
The Problem
EUCAP Somalia aimed at publishing messages which would have a positive impact on the target audiences, creating interest, commitment and support to their mission in Somalia. These multimedia materials are to serve as the cornerstone for creating interest in the target audiences and to build the expert brand of EUCAP Somalia.
Going by the magnitude and the weight of the project, EUCAP Somalia was in search of a top agency to be tasked with the project by producing multimedia products of professional standard. This is where Admedia Communications came in.
The Solution
EUCAP Somalia engaged Admedia in the provision of communication services and the production of multimedia products that met professional standards. During our engagement, we have been carrying out the following tasks for EUCAP Somalia:
- Web Maintenance of EUCAP Somalia site (www.eucap-som.eu)
- Multimedia production and editing, including videos, news clips and advertisements.
- Graphic design (layouts) for printed and online materials.
- Proofreading (English, native speaker level) of articles, and brochures.
Results
In the course of our work with EUCAP Somalia, we have produced videos, developed creative assets, handled copyright, proofread press releases and articles for media distribution, and worked to keep the Mission’s website up and running by addressing any bugs and regularly updating the site’s content. Additionally, we have created a robust digital newsletter for EUCAP that notifies various stakeholders of the Mission’s news and gives them the choice to subscribe to or unsubscribe from their mailing list.
