Admedia Communications successfully delivered comprehensive conference management and operational support for the Open Society Foundations High-Level Conference on Governance, Critical Minerals and Conflict in Africa, held from 27-29 July 2026 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra, Ghana. Convened under the theme “Towards an African Agenda on Governance, Critical Minerals and Peace,” the three-day conference brought together policymakers, regional institutions, civil society leaders, researchers, peacebuilding practitioners, community representatives and private-sector actors from across Africa.

The conference examined how Africa can harness its critical-mineral wealth to strengthen democratic governance, prevent conflict, protect community rights and build more inclusive and sustainable economies. Through high-level panels, moderated dialogues and participatory Strategy Labs, delegates explored geopolitics, regional cooperation, reparative justice, community ownership, local development, industrialisation and Africa’s global bargaining power. The discussions progressively moved from diagnosing the continent’s governance and extractive challenges to identifying policy reforms, alliances and practical pathways for coordinated action.

Admedia provided integrated support across programme development, project coordination, delegate and speaker management, travel and accommodation liaison, registration and accreditation, creative design, branding, protocol, hospitality, technical production and multilingual interpretation. The team also developed the conference Run-of-Show, delegate logistics materials, facilitator briefs and reporting frameworks, while coordinating the opening ceremony, cultural experience, Strategy Labs, presentation management and on-site conference operations.
