Airtel Kenya is known to have the best offers when it comes to calls, SMS and internet. When they rolled out their Switch to Airtel Campaign and spiced things up by their unique offers including 1BOB NI 5MB, CALL FOR 2.3 BOB PER MINUTE TO ALL NETWORKS, and UPGRADE YOUR SIM CARD AND ENJOY 2GB FREE, they aimed at creating further transparency in their operations and charges, and creating room for a massive of exodus of customers to Airtel. This was after a cry from many Kenyans who were calling on the telecommunications companies in the country to roll out calls, SMS, and data bundles offers without expiry. In line with this, the company aimed at serving low-income netizens by enabling them to access internet for as low as 1 Kenya Shilling and call other networks for as low as 2.3 bob per minute, making them the telecommunications company with the lowest rates in the country. Call it value for money.

The Challenge

After rolling out this one of a kind offer, Airtel Kenya needed a way to get the word out to Kenyans that they were now able to get 5MBS of data without expiry for just 1BOB, Calls to all networks for 2.3 bob per minute, and enjoy 2GB free if they chose to upgrade their SIM cards to Airtel. To do this, they needed to run campaigns and this required them to get in touch with the top media agencies in the country to come up with compelling audio-visual concepts for radio and television ads, and creative designs for print, murals, and branded items.

The Solution

Admedia Communications Ltd was contracted by Airtel Kenya to brand vans that would be used to create awareness about the new Airtel Kenya offers. We came up with the design concepts, the mock-ups, and branded the vans that were used to carry the message across the country.

Results

We executed as per the laid down brand guidelines that amplified the campaign awareness and visibility.
