Admedia Communications played a crucial role in the success of the Youth Connekt Africa 2023 Summit, held from December 8th to 11th in Nairobi, Kenya. This event, part of a continental initiative aimed at empowering young Africans, attracted 20,000 participants from 25 countries.
The journey began with a formal announcement on December 5th at the Nairobi Serena Hotel, where Admedia organized the event with a 30-second animated TV commercial and high-quality videography and photography. This announcement set the stage for a highly engaging summit, attended by government officials, the UNDP, Kenya’s Ministry of Youth Affairs, and other key stakeholders.
Admedia’s branding expertise was evident throughout the summit. We designed and produced various materials, from UNDP and African Union exhibition booths to billboards in key Kenyan cities. Additionally, we ensured participants had all necessary information through master briefs, logistical notes, and informative infographics. Our strategic media buying included securing radio and TV spots on major Kenyan stations and placing advertisements in national newspapers, enhancing the summit’s visibility.
Digital marketing was a key component of our strategy, involving active social media engagement and the use of influencers to amplify the summit’s reach. On-site, we provided extensive support, including documenting the event with 28 rapporteurs and ensuring inclusivity with sign language interpreters. The successful media coverage and detailed event documentation highlighted the summit’s impact, showcasing Admedia’s ability to effectively promote large-scale events and advocate for youth empowerment across Africa.
