For 100 years, save the children has been making a difference in children’s lives in more than 120 countries and is the world’s largest independent child rights organization, underpinned by a vision, a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation. The mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.
Project summary;
Admedia Communications Ltd has signed a 3-month agreement with Save the Children to develop an e-learning platform and digitization of modules for training 6000 Peace Support Operators (PSOs) across Africa. Admedia was required by the provisions of this deliverables to carry out a set of activities that will aid Save the Children in implementing a seamless curriculum on children protection. The e-learning platform seeks to:
- Deliver programs and training resources which are currently delivered face -to -face to be transformed into online or blended mode, with participants engaging in online and offline digital resources.
- Be a sustainable inbuilt capacity building model at all levels to manage the entire lifecycle of content creation and distribution, along with appropriate levels of access to view, edit, and approve new content.
The project is now complete, Admedia’s ICT lead Muthusi Steven converged on 8th February 2022 for a capacity building training with the representatives from Save the Children on the portal usage. The portal dubbed Stadi Portal will be used to not only train the Peace Support Operators across the continent but also help them in executing their roles on matters children’s rights.
